England Manager Tuchel Affirms No Problem with Bellingham, Foden, or Grealish

Media Description: Tuchel on Jude Bellingham

England's Head Coach Thomas Tuchel stated that he holds "no issue" with Jack Grealish following the trio did not make the Three Lions team for upcoming fixtures against Wales and Latvia.

Bellingham has not been recalled even after returning from a shoulder issue, while Foden and Grealish also miss out despite showing improved form with their clubs.

The German manager mentioned that the 22-year-old desired to be included of the squad, after a conversation with him via telephone.

"He is a unique talent, and for special players there can often be special rules," the coach said about Bellingham, who has made just one start since returning to fitness.

"However we decided to maintain the straightforward decision of calling up the same group.

"Jude consistently merits to be here. There is also the situation that he has not fully found his optimal form again at his club - he has not finished a full game.

"The player wanted to be called up. We had a telephone conversation."

The England boss made an effort to emphasize his positive relationship with the midfielder after Tuchel apologized to him earlier this year for describing his on-pitch behavior as "repulsive" in a televised interview.

The German stated that he used the words "unintentionally" and promised to be more careful in future.

Inquired if he had any issue with Bellingham, he said: "No. There is no issue either with Foden or Grealish.

"Phil is returning to influencing and deciding games for Manchester City. Jack is almost to being back to the top form of himself.

"There exists no personal problem."

Bukayo Saka replacing the injured Noni Madueke is the only change to the previous squad, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Quansah retaining their places after joining as last-minute call-ups previously due to injury.

England play the Welsh team in a friendly at Wembley on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier in the Latvian capital on 14 October.

If England triumph in Latvia, they will require a maximum of two more points from their final two qualifiers - against Albania and Serbia in next month - to secure a spot in the upcoming World Cup in North America.

Impressive Display Under Tuchel

The Three Lions produced their finest performance significantly under the manager's guidance when they beat Serbia five-nil on the road in Belgrade last time out.

The coach stated that showing meant it an easy decision to keep mostly the same squad, though "there exist no certainties" for any player regarding being picked.

"The last camp was only three and a half weeks ago and the teamwork and spirit was at its peak. That is why we decided to invite the identical players to this camp," he commented.

"Phil is in a very good moment. Adam Wharton deserves to be with us. Curtis Jones and Chalobah are earning playing time with their clubs.

"We have players who warrant to be here. Palmer is unfit and is a special player. It will always be like this.

"Is our team a better team with Bellingham? Yes. But I mentioned before, what do we do if Jude is injured before the tournament? Do we just cancel?"

The Manager's Press Conference Gets Noticed

Thomas Tuchel once more gave a box office news conference.

Tuchel, a expert of managing his relationship with the media, began with an initial remarks to set out his thinking for his selections.

The midfielder is ready to play and expressed interest to come to the squad, but the coach explained he did not want to alter the squad significantly after a statement five-goal victory over Serbia - where the boss said unity was at an all-time high.

However with Tuchel not including the star, and his repeated comments about togetherness, it is hard not to link the aspects - although he said repeatedly how he is "exceptional" and that there is "no issue" between Tuchel and one of England's star players.

Tuchel has always made it evident that he wanted to make the national team feel like a club team and, by retaining the same squad after a big victory, he has done that. But the inquiries will come again in the next camp if England win well in these upcoming fixtures.
